I was baptized and confirmed Catholic, and over the past few years I've realized it's all bullshit. So I want to get excommunicated, mainly for the sheer hell of it -- that and it would nicely signify closure.

That and I've read Jeffrey Mark's book, "Christian No More" (which was pretty good though a bit redundant after a while), and now I'm reading Christopher Hitchens' book, "god is not Great" (which is excellent so far, albeit an occasionally difficult read due to the slang of the King's English, whereas I'm American). Both books make solid historical arguments to debunk huge chunks of the Bible, basically nullifying the book altogether.
